Dermal does not collect, store, or share any personal data. All product data you add stays on your device.
All data — scanned products, ingredient lists, photos, notes, and ratings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Nothing is uploaded to our servers because we do not operate any servers.

Photos you take or select are stored only on your device. They are never transmitted externally.
Dermal makes requests to the following public databases to look up product information by barcode:
These requests contain only the scanned barcode number. No personal information, device identifiers, or account data is sent. These are open-source, community-maintained databases not operated by us. Refer to their respective privacy policies for details.
Dermal does not include any analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking frameworks. We do not collect usage data of any kind.
Dermal does not integrate with any third-party services beyond the open product databases listed above. There are no ads, no social media SDKs, and no data brokers.
Dermal does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.
If we update this policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Since Dermal collects no data, significant changes are unlikely.
